PERMALIP SILICON

Permalip procedure takes the name from “Permanent Lips”, where silicon fillers are applied to the lips on desired areas, and last for a lifetime unless the patient desires to remove them. The silicones are not much different than the ones used in breast enlargement. According to the desired shape of the lips, silicone pads are chosen and applied to the area with local anesthetics. If the patient is not suitable, general anesthesia can also be preferred in Orenda Health.
The operation takes about 30 minutes. Dissolving sutures are used. Incision is made where both lips are connected, and on the reddish tissue of the lips, the silicones are inserted. Since the sutures are self-dissolving, there is no need for a removal. And the incision is made along the line of the lips, there will be no scarring.

Recovery after Permalip

The doctors will give painkillers and antibiotics. Too much yawning and eating too hard foods are not recommended for the first weeks. the silicones are not visible from the outside and will not be felt while kissing.

FAQ

PermaLip is considered minimally invasive and will require a small amount of downtime. You can expect some tenderness and swelling for the first 24-48 hours. Some people also have minor bruising. In most cases, the swelling and pain are gone within one week. After this subsides, you’ll begin to see your final results. Using a cold compress as well as over-the-counter painkillers can help to manage both pain and swelling. Dr. Homas or Dr. Brostrom will give you detailed instructions to follow when you can expect to return to your regular cosmetic and skincare regimen.

PermaLip is an outpatient procedure that can take as little as 15 minutes to complete. Local anesthesia is administered to the area. Once you’re numb and comfortable, a small incision is made in the mouth. From this incision, a small tunnel along the lip is created so that the implant can be correctly positioned. Once the implants are in place, absorbable sutures are used to close the incisions. Due to the nature of their design, PermaLip is a permanent solution. Many patients prefer this over injectables, which require frequent touch-ups over time.

PermaLip uses soft, silicone-based implants that won’t rupture or leak. They’re placed along the entire length of the lip and are anatomically shaped so you get a naturally full look. There are a variety of different sizes available for both your upper and lower lip so you can customize your results. This makes it a great option for anyone who feels their lips are asymmetrical. While many patients choose to do both lips, you can opt for either upper or lower augmentation based on your goals.
