This type of hair transplantation without shaving is preferred more by people who don’t want to wait for the shaven donor area to grow back again, and this procedure fairly makes the daily life easier than the shaven method by providing easy transmission after the operation.

Just like in the regular shaven method of hair transplantation, the donor areas for the hair follicles are usually chosen on the back of the head between the 2 ears near the upper neck. The doctor will first examine the area and the strength of the follicles to see if they are suitable for transplantation. Then the doctor will inform the patient about the process of the operation.

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) Method

In this method, the hair follicles from the donor area are collected one by one as grafts with a pen-like special device without making any incisions. After the extraction, the follicles are put into a transplantation solution to keep them 100% alive. This special FUE device can extract the grafts that have 3-4 hair follicles inside without damaging them, or damaging the tissue on the scalp. In one session, between 2500-3000 grafts can be extracted. In contrast to classical incision method with 15 days of healing time with dressings, in FUE method this time reduces down to 3 days.

DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) Plus Gold Method

This method uses a special golden needle to transfer the grafts one by one to the needed area by directly creating a channel and transplanting them. Sutures, scars or incisions are not needed in this method. The grafts that were extracted from the donor site are transplanted into the needed area at the same time while opening the channels. In other methods, the grafts wait longer in the transplantation solution while the channels are being opened.

Sapphire Percutaneous Method

In this method, a pen-like device with a special 3D crystal tip is used to extract the grafts from the donor area which is locally anesthetized. This method helps to create more precise channels for hair follicles to be used in hair transplantation. Crystal tip has more sensitivity and precision, helping the scalp to get less damaged during the extraction process.
